Experience the Southern Champlain Valley on Horseback

Customized guided trail rides

Trail rides are customized for the individual groups and tailered specifically to create the outdoor experience that you are hoping for.   All rides are guided whether you choose to ride your own horse or ours.  We have a few wonderful trail friendly horses ready for your adventure.  Groups sizes are currently  limited to 5, unless private individuals come with their own steed.  We can work with groups of up to 10 in this case.  All rides regardless of your level of riding ability will begin with safety instruction, a brief introduction to the animal and its behavior along with a riding instruction in an arena prior to leaving for the ride.  We recommend advanced beginner to intermediate riding ability for our horses and the overall adventure.

All feed for the animals will be provided as part of the package, all farm owned animals will be tended by the guides at all times.  Privately own horses will be the responsibility of the owner,  feed and water will be supplied by the farm.

Rides are available as:

  •  1/2 day which provides the opportunity to leisurely travel along  beautiful wooded trails and open meadows.  This trip lasts approximately 3.5 hours and includes a rest stop with a snack and beverage for both horse and rider or make it a lunch or dinner trip . Longer rides are available upon request.  During this time the riders will have the opportunity to canoe around a private pond explore on foot, view wildlife and enjoy.  While your four legged companion rests, has a snack and a cool drink.  Your meal will be prepared by our camp cook.  After relaxing and enjoying a delightful meal prepared over an open campfire you will remount your steed and return to the farm.

  • The overnight excursion consists of a lunch stop over; while you wait for lunch, depending on the stop sight, relax and enjoy the views of Lake Champlain nestled neatly below the Adirondack mountains or stop at a cool spring fed lake for a swim, paddle or fishing.  Remount after lunch and head to the evening destination and campsite.  The guides will tend the animals (unless you have brought your own in which case they will be your responsibility, guides will be able to help with this), while you relax, recall the day, visit with friends, have a few appetizers, explore the campsite, paddle the canoe around the pond, whatever you choose.  Our camp chef will be preparing your dinner over an open fire.  After dinner enjoy a bonfire, the song of peepers, watch the beaver swim around and enjoy. In the morning awaken to the sounds of nature and the smells of breakfast being prepared over the wood fire.  Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and prepare for the return to your final destination the farm.
  • Remember this is customized for individual group pleasure, so if you are interested in any of the packages including the overnight and your not sure about the length of the ride you are able  to do, we will make changes that will work for you and keep everyone happy.  Should you want to simply experience a short ride and still do an overnight we will work with you to make it happen.  This is about fun for all.  Check out our menu page and select your meal or make a special request.  Let us know what your leisure activiy preferences may be and we will plan your trip around that.

We also offer by the hour rides  for those who are interested.

Reservations in advance are requested but we will try to work you in if possible.
